Protected Environmental Features Risk Appraisal
Project Overview:

Protected Environmental Features Risk Appraisal
Status: Active
Start Date: March 2023
Lead Organisation: The Crown Estate
This project aims to identify and map the protected sites within the National Site Network which are most at risk from pressures arising from offshore floating turbines, fixed turbines and electrical cables.
The project will include the development of a tool to automate an established risk appraisal methodology. The main outputs will be the tool and publicly available spatial data via an interactive web geographic information system (GIS). The tool will enable risk appraisal of other marine activities in a cost-effective manner in future, maximising benefit.
