October was a very busy month for everyone! The Northwest and Northeast interns have been spending lots of time together at various events, the latest being the Natural England Offshore Wind Forum which we attended for 3 days. We then went to London and spent a day in the Orsted offices, we introduced our projects, took part in the team meeting, and learnt more about how Orsted works. We were then joined by the North Wales and London interns the next day in the TCE office.

At TCE, we all completed our insights training which is a detailed personality test assigning colours with specific attributes to a person depending on how they answer questions. It was interestingly very accurate and will be useful for us to know how to best communicate and work with each other. We also had a session with the GIS team, the data and insights team, and were able to have some meetings with TCE staff and enjoy being in the office!

Back in our internship regions, everyone has been working hard on their main and individual projects, attending various community events and giving presentations for different organisations. We’ve also been able to carry out lots of surveys, so it’s been nice to be out in nature and carry on connecting with the environment that we’re all trying to protect!
