The NICE Protection project is working to encourage the coexistence of marine life on offshore wind cabling materials to support wildlife and deliver a biodiversity net gain. The research is focused on building evidence around the potential ecological impacts of Nature Inclusive Design (NID) technologies for cable protection, compared to existing ‘standard’ cable protection technologies, with the aim of delivering biodiversity net gain.
